Carnival Horizon Pictures

Carnival Horizon Picturesfeatured

Looking for Carnival Horizon pictures? We just boarded this beautiful new ship, and I’ve got you covered! After all, I promised you all I’d be taking you onboard with us!

Disclaimer: I won this cruise in an Instagram contest, so while we did not pay for this cruise, it is not sponsored in any way, shape or form and all opinions are mine (and my fam’s!) and ours alone. All photos are mine, so please do not re-post them elsewhere without my permission (but if you wanted to share the link out to this post, go for it!).

So with that, lets hop onboard the Horizon!

((And, side note, I know I’ve only been onboard for, like, three hours, but I’m really loving this ship so far! The crew have been SO friendly and the minute we stepped onboard, we felt like we were coming home. We loved loved loved the Vista when we sailed her two years ago and the Horizon reminds me of my favorite parts of the Vista — but better!))

The Port of Barcelona

Our home for the next 13 days!

Luggage Drop-Off is right next to the terminal entrance. If you have a ton of luggage or just want some extra help, a porter can do the drop off for you!

For those who have been asking, yes, there is a liquor store in the waiting area at the terminal (post security)

There’s also a souvenir store, too!

For those who arrive early before boarding begins (which was between 10:30 and 11:00 AM today for the inaugural voyage), there’s a cafΓ© inside the terminal, as well as an outdoor terrace

Walking onto the ship for the first time!

Our Cabin (Oceanview Cabin with Two Bathrooms)

The stateroom hallways definitely feel wider than usual

Entrance to the cabin. Doors leading to both bathrooms are on the left, three closets on the right.

Standard Oceanview cabin, with two twin beds and a convertible sofa

The vanity (featuring bonus Diet Coke for my aspartame-addicted Mom and sister)

There is a Wi-Fi router in the cabin, which isn’t doing much for the internet speeds right now. There are also two USB chargers, two standard US chargers and an international charger

Really big picture window (ugh, the quality of these uploads is terrible — I’M SORRY! I PROMISE THE PICTURES LOOK MUCH NICER IN LIGHTROOM AND WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER IN THE FULL REVIEW)

One of the closets, with three shelves, a safe and three drawers

Mini bathroom, with a sink and a bathtub/shower combo (but to note, the bathtub is too small for any grown adult to fit in comfortably — this seems to be for kiddos)

Full bathroom, with a wide vanity, single sink and three shelves on each side

Standard shower

Fresh, crisp linens and a nice, firm bed

Around The Ship

Artwork in each of the stairways

Clean, open elevator banks (which are now touch screen — you need to request an elevator and will be assigned to one. There are no buttons inside the elevator!)

The Lido Marketplace

Tons of seating in the Lido Marketplace

One of many food stations

I don’t know if this is a new Horizon thing or just a new Carnival thing, but there were tons of legit cakes for dessert and they were *good*!

For more, join me on Facebook and Instagram — I’ll be posting pictures and videos of the Horizon and our Mediterranean ports of call for the next 13 days! And come back for the full review when we get home. There’s SO much more to this ship that we haven’t even gotten to explore yet!
